I talked with Ms.Elizabeth through emails on Fri.Nov.7,08
I’m Azumi. I got a second conversation partner who’s name is Elizabeth. She is a senior student in VCU and her major is Asian Area Studies. She is very interested in living Japan because her parents have lived in Japan and her father can speak Japanese. We sent an e-mail each other on Fri.Nov.07,08 because we were out of town then and couldn’t meet together. She told me that she had been in Sharlotteville with her friend then and they ate Japanese foods there. She ate an oyako-don and enjoyed it. So, I told her that I can show her how it cooks because it is easy to cook. We have a lot of delicious Japanese foods to cook easily. I’m glad if I can show her them. Whenever I send e-mails to her, she always fix my sentences in there. It helps me to improve my writing skill. She is an assistant Audrey’s writing class in ESL now and she said that she enjoy joining it. She will go to Japan to teach English next year. So, I also would like her to help to learn about Japan. She also likes to listen to Japanese music. I was surpried because she knows a lot of Japanese singers. Before I came here, I thought many Americans don’t know about Japanese music as much as Japanese know about American one. it might be my misunderstanding.
